About Monica
I am all about being a well rounded person, therefore, while I balanced my studies during highschool and college, during my free time, I would involve myself in dance clubs, teams, and outside organization teams as well to be able to keep my side passion. Dance has always been a passion of mine since a young age from starting as a little ballerina, to a gymnastic girl, to kpop dance classes, and then to finally getting into dance teams and performances to the public eye. After graduating college, I still dance by taking dance classes at Offstage GRV and playground LA. I try to teach in the most enthusiastic and fun way possible while also making sure dancers are grounded in the routine.

I have choreography experience since highschool in hiphop and have taken kpop dance lessons since middle school. My typical lesson plan would be first having a basic understanding of the dance genre. Then learning a bit of the history and mentioning famous choreographers and performers to give insight. Then I would allow the students to test the feels and vibe of the genre and then dive into warming up and teaching a certain piece depending on the student's level. I would also breakdown preparatory exercises and break down stylistic movement patterns and actions.
