About Rose
I am an experienced piano tutor with 11 years of teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I am passionate about helping students develop technical skills, musical understanding, and creative expression. My teaching approach focuses on patience, clear communication, and personalised guidance tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
I design lessons that strengthen fundamentals such as finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and sight-reading, while gradually introducing advanced techniques. I also teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to provide a complete musical foundation. Lessons are interactive and engaging, often including song practice, improvisation, and performance opportunities.
I excel at simplifying complex concepts and helping students build confidence, consistency, and disciplined practice habits. My ultimate aim is to create a supportive, motivating, and inspiring environment where students can enjoy learning piano and achieve their full potential.

I follow a personalised and expressive teaching methodology that prioritises each student’s growth and enjoyment. I believe learning piano should inspire creativity, build confidence, and foster a deep understanding of music. Through consistent communication, I learn about each student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, which allows me to design lessons that are meaningful and effective.
Creativity is encouraged in every lesson. Students are invited to improvise, explore musical genres, and compose their own pieces. This approach nurtures individuality and ensures learning remains enjoyable and motivating. Flexibility is a cornerstone of my teaching—I adapt exercises, lesson structure, and techniques to match the student’s learning style, pace, and interests.
Alongside piano, I include instruction in music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This integrated approach builds technical skill, musical understanding, and expressive capability. My aim is to guide students towards becoming confident, well-rounded musicians who not only play piano but also develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
