About Frédérique
I am a full-time tutor with a passion for helping young learners succeed. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with minors in Education, Psychology, and Languages, and have completed specialised coursework in early literacy, language acquisition, and child development.

When working with children, I believe that positive reinforcement is the most effective approach — showing them with genuine enthusiasm that they are doing well, celebrating their achievements, and using fun rewards like stickers for those who enjoy them. This helps build self-confidence and motivation.
For my BA Degree, my integration project explored The impact of mindfulness and self-compassion on the learning of school-age and preschool children, which I think reflects my nurturing, patient, and student-centred teaching approach.
I always adapt to each child’s individual needs. Since every learner is different, I pay close attention to how they respond, observing and listening carefully before tailoring my methods to suit them. As an enthusiastic person by nature, I also bring an element of fun and humour into lessons at the right moments to keep learning enjoyable.
