I built hundreds of success stories in over 25 years of teaching.

I ran a classroom for over a decade and experienced in that journey that every child needs a different learning style. Here I am :)

I did my Orton-Gillingham certification from CARE- Dyslexia Toronto, Canada.

I work towards the goal of helping the child improve in academic skills, build higher self-esteem and have the attitude to say" YES!
I CAN DO IT :)

As Orton Gillingham Language Specialist, I: Work with students who have reading and spelling challenges, have learning difficulties or have been diagnosed with dyslexia. -Help them overcome their learning gaps using strategies, concepts, language rules and generalizations. -Teach children using the Orton - Gillingham multi-sensory approach for optimal results. -Use visual, auditory and kinesthetic elements to make the lesson interactive and exciting for the student. -Teach sound to symbol and symbol to sound associations, encoding and decoding words in isolation and context. - Also, work on comprehension and writing skills. - Use a diagnostic/prescriptive approach to tailor the next day's lesson based on previous learning gaps. - Work with children who have behavior and emotional difficulties.
