About Joseph
I am a 19 year old medical student at the University of Sheffield. I will become a second year in September, when I will be undertaking a six week lab placement researching a new cure for breast cancer. Last year, I achieved the best results in my school at A level, for which I received multiple awards and prizes. I have a passion for teaching and have been engaged in programs of teaching younger students since I was 15, the latest of which being mentoring an underprivileged student in year 12 to help them get into medical school, so I am more experienced in this field than others my age. I believe this makes me best placed to help you achieve success as I have been in your position very recently, but have come out the other side and have gained a lot of insight which I would have found very useful when I sat the UCAT and throughout the application phase, which I would be happy to share.

I will first assess the student's strengths and weaknesses using various practice questions, then systematically work with them to improve weaknesses in the context of example questions.
I am flexible with regards to the length of lessons based on the needs of the student.
I am currently mentoring a year 12 widening participation student through In2medschool, and have been helping him to prepare to sit the UCAT in summer.
I sat my UCAT 2 years ago and scored 2990 and Band 1 with no help from family or friends. I am the first in my family to go to university and got into medical school without widening participation criteria despite being eligible.
I am open to discussing every aspect of the medical school application process and can help my students to get on track to succeed in the application process.
