About Jakob
Jakob Gille (aka Ioka) is a qualified composer, trained pianist and drummer and has been producing under the pseudonym "Ioka" in various electronic genres for over 10 years. As a film music composer, he wrote the music for various documentaries and set several educational films to music. In addition, his work as a sound designer was featured in several product videos. His music is published on 56 Stuff and Ingrown Records, among others.
Since 2018, Jakob Gille has been organizing the Into Sound concerts for three-dimensional music.

I'm Jakob Gille, a graduate composer and music producer and have coached more than 50 students in 6 years. Including many who now publish regularly such as B. Holger Rohmann, Robert Getzner and Mila Chiral.
I try to put special emphasis on musical approaches in my lessons.
How do I start, how do I turn my first idea into a whole track and how do I deal with form, harmony, melody and of course rhythm ; are all questions that are dealt with in my classes.
Genre don't play a big role as my classes are more about the general composing of electronic music. In contrast to the usual workshops, the individual lessons enable me to respond very precisely to individual needs and interests.

Jakob hat mich bereits mehrere Jahre unterstützt, mich mit meiner Musik weiter zu entwickeln. Die Arbeit mit ihm macht sehr viel Spaß und ich kann schnell Fortschritte machen. Jakob hört bei meinen Produktionen sehr genau hin und erklärt mir oft Dinge, die mir so gar nicht aufgefallen sind! Durch seine Ausbildung hat er den theoretischen Hintergrund und durch seine eigene Musik sehr viel praktische Erfahrung. Ich freue mich auf die weitere gemeinsame Arbeit an meinen Tracks.
Besonders inspirierend am Kompositionsunterricht finde ich, dass parallel auch die Musikproduktion mit Ableton Live (oder auch Bitwig), Mixing und Mastering vermittelt wird. So kann die Komposition gleich realisiert und verfeinert werden, es entsteht ein produktiver Workflow.
