About Salma
I am a dedicated and academically driven tutor who achieved mostly Grade 9s at GCSE and A/A* at A-Level. I understand first-hand what it takes to succeed in competitive exams, and I aim to help students approach their studies with structure, confidence and clarity.
I tutor because I genuinely enjoy breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps. Many students struggle not due to lack of ability, but because they haven’t been shown how to approach exams strategically. My goal is to build both skill and exam confidence, ensuring students feel capable and in control of their progress.
I am patient, organised and professional, and I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s needs. I also provide clear communication and regular feedback to support steady improvement.

I specialise in GCSE English Language and Literature, helping students move from confusion and low confidence to clear, structured and high-scoring answers. My lessons focus heavily on exam technique, mark scheme understanding and building adaptable responses that can be used across different questions.
For English, I teach students how to:
• Analyse quotations at Grade 8/9 level
• Structure comparison and unseen poetry answers
• Write high-scoring creative and transactional writing
• Understand exactly what examiners are looking for
Many of my students improve by 2–3 grades within a few months through focused exam strategy and consistent feedback.
I also tutor GCSE Maths and Sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), as well as A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths. My science lessons emphasise clear conceptual understanding first, followed by exam-style practice and structured mark scheme application.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged for A-Level or exam preparation. Each lesson includes:

I achieved mostly Grade 9s at GCSE and A/A* at A-Level, and I understand first-hand what it takes to perform at a high academic level. I aim to pass on not just content knowledge, but the discipline, organisation and exam confidence needed for top results.
I also offer Medicine interview preparation support, including structured MMI practice and answer development. Additionally, I am fluent in English and Arabic and can support bilingual students or communicate with Arabic-speaking families if preferred.
My lessons are suitable for:
