About Baylies

Something about me: my motto is “Be Kind”. I am sociable, friendly, and knowledgeable. I am not here to tutor because I know “what is right” in art. I am here to help with accountability, and technique based learning that can be taught to anyone willing to try!

About the lesson

I have pursued art vigorously since age 16, and I entered the Runway Industry in New York City by age 20. During Covid, I went and got my Master’s Degree in Fabric Innovation Design in Rome, Italy. I started art with colored pencil and Acrylic paint as a child, and progressed with the assistance of wonderful teachers, until I applied to Parsons, where I achieved my BFA in Fashion Design. I have had in-depth critiques of my work through my education, and have the critical technical knowledge to be able to advise children, beginners, and intermediate artists. I have tutored children before in many subjects, which makes me an especially great fit for elementary-high school students. I have no bias towards personal aesthetic, and am an empath that will help find your personal direction. I am also gladly willing to work with sensory issue, ADD/ADHD, autistic, or other special needs students. I would love to help you, or your friends/family, learn the amazing crafts of sewing (both machine & hand), beading, draping, pattern drafting, portfolio assistance, CAD Design, sketchbooks, illustration, painting, or any combination of the above despite age, ability, or style.
