About Wafiya

Hello! I’m Wafiya, a postgraduate in English Literature, and I’m passionate about helping students become more confident in English.

I believe that learning English should not feel difficult or stressful. You will be explained things in a simple, clear way there will be a comfortable space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at your own pace.

I have completed my Master’s in English Literature and gained teaching experience through a 30-day school teaching internship. I also hold a certificate in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), which has helped me understand the importance of patience, encouragement, and supporting students as individuals.

In my classes, I focus on understanding the student’s needs and goals. Whether you want to improve your grammar, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary, or English Literature, I try to make every lesson practical and easy to follow. You will be helped with simple explanations, examples, discussions, and practice activities to understand concepts rather than just memorize them.

A typical class begins with a short conversation or a review of the previous lesson. We then move on to the new topic, where I explain the concept and guide the student through examples and exercises. I also encourage questions and give feedback so that the student knows what they are doing well and what they can improve. We end with a quick recap to make sure the lesson has been useful.

What I believe makes me different is my patient and student-friendly approach. I understand that every learner has a different pace and different challenges, so I do not believe in using the same method for everyone. I try to adapt my teaching to make learning more comfortable and effective.

My classes are suitable for school students, college students, and adults who want to improve their English. Whether you are preparing for exams, working on your communication skills, or simply want to feel more confident using English, I would be happy to support you.

My teaching approach

I believe that learning English should be easy, engaging, and enjoyable. My aim is to help students understand the language clearly, build confidence, and develop the skills they need for their studies and everyday communication. As a postgraduate in English Literature, I bring both academic knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching.

My teaching techniques and methods

I use a student-centered approach, where lessons are planned according to the learner’s level, goals, and learning pace. I explain difficult concepts in simple language and use examples from everyday life to make learning more meaningful.

My lessons may include:

Clear explanations of vocabulary, and literature.
Reading and discussion activities to improve understanding.
Speaking practice to build confidence in communication.
Writing exercises with helpful feedback.
Questions, quizzes, and interactive activities to make lessons engaging.

I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

The usual structure of a class

I do not believe in teaching every student in the same way. I adapt my explanations and activities to help each learner make progress.
