About Christopher
My name is Christopher, and I am a music education student at The Ohio State University with a primary focus on clarinet. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and later moved to Ohio, experiences that shaped my musical and educational background. I have played the clarinet for most of my life and am passionate about teaching it, with an emphasis on strong fundamentals, clear technique, and musical confidence. As a future music educator, I strive to create a patient, supportive learning environment tailored to each student’s goals.

Hi! My name is Christopher, and I am a second-year Music Education major at The Ohio State University with a focus on clarinet and ensemble performance. I have experience working with students of different ages and skill levels, and I specialize in helping learners build strong fundamentals while gaining confidence in their musicianship.
As a music education student, I am trained not only in performance, but also in how to teach music clearly and effectively. I emphasize proper tone production, finger technique, articulation, rhythm, sight-reading, and basic music theory. I also enjoy helping students prepare for band class, auditions, chair placements, and school performances.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and structured. I believe every student can improve with the right explanations and practice strategies, and I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals—whether that’s learning the basics, improving school band performance, or strengthening music theory skills.
I offer online lessons for beginner to intermediate clarinet students, as well as support in music theory and music history coursework. I’m happy to provide a short introductory meeting to make sure we’re a good fit.
