About Zachary
Zach is an NYC-based freelancer and educator. He has studied with Michelle Baker, Julia Pilant, Barbara Jöstlein and Jeff Lang. His performance experience included performances with the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra and multiple appearances at Joe’s Pub. Zach has helped students of all ages and abilities to see marked improvement in their playing. Whether you’re preparing for an audition, playing in school, or picking it up for the first time, Zach will help you achieve your horn goals!

Zach is a student of the Julie Landsman style Caruso method. His lessons focus on technique and musicality. You will learn and improve fundamental technique through exercises and etudes, expand your repertoire with focus on solo and accompanied pieces, and grow more comfortable performing through performance practice techniques. Zach believes to be a good hornist, you must be a good musician. In your lessons, you will listen to and discuss standard (and not so standard) pieces in the solo, chamber and orchestral repertoire.
