About Thai
I’m a registered critical care nurse working in the NHS, and I qualified recently enough to remember exactly how overwhelming the degree can feel — the anatomy that won’t stick, drug calculations that make your stomach drop, the OSCE you’re dreading, placements where you’re not quite sure what’s expected of you, and that first job interview you desperately want to get right.
I actually went straight from qualifying into critical care — about as steep a start as nursing offers — so I know first-hand how big the leap into your first role feels, and what it really takes to land it and get through it. Now I help student and newly-qualified nurses do the same, with a lot less panic. My approach is calm, practical and completely judgement-free. I’ve supported many students and new starters on the ward, so I’m used to explaining things in a way that clicks — and I’d always rather you genuinely understand something than blag your way past it.
Teaching is honestly my favourite part of nursing. There’s nothing quite like watching something finally click for someone who was convinced they couldn’t do it. I had people who did that for me, and I want to be that person for you.

My lessons are one-to-one and online, and built entirely around what you need — there’s no fixed script, because your OSCE, your pharmacology exam and your reflective essay all need different things from a session.
We usually start with whatever’s stressing you most: bring the assignment brief, the topic, the practice questions, or your interview date, and we’ll work from there. Depending on what you’re after, a session might look like:
• Working through anatomy or a drug-calc method until it genuinely makes sense — then practice questions to prove it’s stuck
• Running an OSCE station out loud — A-E, escalation, SBAR — so the real thing feels familiar instead of terrifying
• Structuring a reflective piece using Gibbs, Johns or Kolb (your words and your work — I coach, I don’t write it for you)
• Mock interview questions and honest feedback so you walk in ready
However you learn, I’ll adjust — some people want the theory, some want talking through it step by step, some just want to practise until it’s automatic.
In our first session we’ll work out what suits you and where to focus.
