About Rameesha

I’m a UK-trained NHS doctor (MBChB), currently working as a Locum SHO across General Surgery, Urology, and Acute Medicine. Alongside clinical work, I’ve been involved in medical education and mentoring for several years, with a strong focus on MMI interview preparation. I’ve supported students since my own time in medical school, helping them develop clear structure, strong communication, and key non-technical skills such as empathy and professionalism. Students I’ve worked with have gone on to receive offers from multiple UK medical schools, and I aim to provide honest feedback in a supportive, professional environment. My wider experience includes academic work in the clinical neurosciences, curriculum organisation, designing and implementation of society-led teaching programmes and documentary projects exploring the development of neurosurgical services in Scotland. I’ve also spent time travelling in Europe and South/East Asia, where exposure to different healthcare systems and real-world medical emergencies reinforced the importance of structured assessment and adaptability. Outside medicine, I value continued learning through philosophy and language study, alongside creative work. As a tutor, my aim is to help students feel prepared, confident, and supported throughout the interview process.

About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring My sessions are relaxed, supportive, and practical. I help students feel more confident with MMI interviews by breaking challenging stations down into simple, easy-to-remember frameworks. We practise real MMI-style questions, work on communication and non-technical skills (such as empathy and structure), and cover common stations including ethics and breaking bad news. You’ll always receive clear, constructive feedback and a simple plan for improvement. Students I’ve supported have gone on to receive offers from multiple UK medical schools. Lesson Length Most lessons are 60 minutes. Experience I’m an NHS doctor in my fourth year of clinical practice and have been helping students with interview preparation since my own fourth year of medical school.
