About Simi

I am an NHS doctor with an MBBS and intercalated BSc (Hons), with 4 years of clinical experience. I am currently working in London and have a deep passion for medical education and making learning accessible to all students. As a previous international student, I understand firsthand the challenges of studying medicine in the UK and successfully navigated these to achieve my dream of becoming a doctor.

Alongside my clinical qualifications, I hold formal education credentials including a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education (with Merit) from the University of Edinburgh and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

What sets me apart are the extensive educator roles I've held over the years from an anatomy demonstrator in medical school across to formal education jobs. I have extensive experience as an OSCE and AKT Examiner for St George's, King's College London, and Kent and Medway Medical School, plus served as an MMI Interviewer for these medical schools. I know what examiners are looking for and what gets you marks.

My dedication to teaching has been recognised through Merit Awards for Teaching Excellence, and I continue to receive heartfelt feedback from students long after our sessions, sharing their success stories and expressing gratitude for the lasting impact of our work together.

I have a particular dedication to widening participation for marginalised and underrepresented learners, having worked extensively to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds in achieving their medical school dreams. I have previously volunteered with multiple high schools and sixth forms in my local community to support their students with university applications.

Sessions are conducted online or at the learner’s home or in a public space. In the case of attending a learner’s home, it is imperative that a responsible adult (guardian or parent) is also present.
