About William
Hi, I'm Will, an NHS doctor currently working in postgraduate speciality training. I've gained clinical experience across a range of specialities, including medicine and surgery, alongside an interest in medical education and teaching.
During medical school, I was involved in interviewing and assessing prospective medical students, giving me valuable insight into the admissions process from an interviewer's perspective.
I enjoy teaching and helping students develop both their knowledge and confidence. Having been through medical school and postgraduate examinations myself, I understand how challenging these assessments can be.
My approach is friendly, practical and supportive. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving their skills through constructive feedback.

I offer personalised, practical tutoring for prospective medical students preparing for medical school interviews (including MMIs), as well as current medical students preparing for OSCEs and clinical examinations.
As an NHS doctor, I have experience on both sides of the medical school interview process, having previously acted as a student interviewer, assessing and grading applicants. I aim to use this experience to help students understand what interviewers are looking for and how to structure clear, confident answers.
My teaching is interactive and tailored to each student's needs, with an emphasis on practice rather than lectures. Sessions can include:
- Medical school interviews: Mock MMI stations, ethical scenarios, communication skills, NHS-related questions and personalised feedback.
- OSCE preparation: Practice stations, clinical reasoning, history-taking, examination techniques and communication skills.
- Individual feedback: Identifying areas for improvement, developing effective approaches and building confidence under timed conditions.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adapted depending on your goals. My aim is to provide a relaxed, supportive environment where students can practise, make mistakes and receive constructive, specific feedback to help them improve.
