About Rachel

I am a masters student specializing in visual neuroscience and how it relates to behaviour. Currently doing research in perception and metacognition. I have written and performed very well on my undergraduate thesis and am currently writing my master's thesis. I graduated from my psychology undergraduate degree with dean's list honour every year. I have been tutoring large groups and one-on-one for three years!

About the lesson

I like to start my tutoring by gauging how well you already know the material, where you need to improve, and what your skills and weaknesses are as a student. Then together I like to make an individualized "plan of attack" that is best suited to your specific needs, circumstances, and goals. We will work together to get you organized on your reading lists, make the best use of research articles and streamline your thesis writing. We can review drafts and work together to create a clear and fluent flow for your thesis or dissertation.

She is extremely passionate about her work and it reflects in her tutoring. Her main areas of interest revolve around cognitive and neuroscience but also enjoys taking time to focus on how philosophy ties into psychology. Rachel is an excellent teacher because she is dedicated to engaging her students and sharing her passion for psychology.

I had Rachel as a third year neuropsychology tutor! She was so patient and caring, worked really hard to make sure I understood the content and would always stop an explain when I got lost. Beyond that she always had some awesome interactive activity or discussion ready to help clarify things! She had jokes or relatable stories which helped make the concepts relate to MY life. It made the content fun and exciting! She’s an awesome tutor who really cares about her students.
