About Osilagun

Hello, I'm Ahmed Osilagun, a passionate native Yoruba tutor from
Ogun State, Nigeria.

I have over 5 years of experience teaching Yoruba language and culture to children and adults, especially those in the diaspora. I am a native speaker and I grew up speaking Yoruba at home, school, and in my community.

I am patient, friendly, and I understand how to make Yoruba easy for beginners. Many of my students are kids born in the US/UK who now confidently greet their grandparents in Yoruba.

I studied at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic having Higher National Diploma (HND) and I am dedicated to helping preserve
our beautiful Yoruba language.

I am very reliable and professional. I always prepare my lessons and I truly care about your progress.

I specialize in teaching Yoruba to Diaspora Kids, Beginners, and Adults in a fun, simple, and conversational way. No boring grammar that scares children.

MY METHOD:
1. Conversational: We speak from Day 1 - greetings, home phrases, daily life.
2. Story & Songs: For kids, I use stories, Yoruba songs, and games.
3. Phonetics: I teach correct tones and pronunciation so you sound like a native.
4. Culture: I teach proverbs, respect (iwa) and cultural meaning behind words.

I can help you with:
- Yoruba for kids (ages 4-16).
- Beginners to intermediate.
- Reading, writing, and speaking.
- Preparation for family trips to Nigeria.

First lesson: We assess your level and make a personal plan to help you speak Yoruba in 30 days.
