About Aisha

Hi, I’m Aisha! I’m a graduate Mechatronics Engineer from Kenya and a native Swahili speaker. I love helping others learn and sharing knowledge in a simple, friendly way. Teaching my younger siblings has made me patient and creative, and I enjoy making lessons fun and engaging. I want to teach because I believe learning should build confidence, not fear. For me, tutoring is about more than just grades, it’s about inspiring curiosity, making knowledge practical, and showing students that they can achieve more than they think. Helping someone finally “get it” is one of the most rewarding feelings, and it’s why I’m passionate about tutoring. Outside tutoring, I enjoy reading, board games, baking, cooking, and spending time with people. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures, which also brings a warm, open energy to my lessons. Whether it’s Swahili, Maths, or Physics, I’m here to guide you step by step — always with patience, positivity, and a little “Hakuna Matata” spirit!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring: I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to each learner’s pace and style. My approach is interactive and practical: for Swahili, I focus on conversation, vocabulary, and cultural examples so learners feel confident using the language in real life. For Maths, Physics, and STEM, I break down concepts into simple steps and connect theory to practical applications from engineering, which makes lessons clearer and more engaging. Lesson structure: A typical lesson lasts about one hour. I usually begin with a quick recap of what we learnt previously, introduce new concepts step by step, and then move into practice activities and questions. I always leave time for discussion, questions, and review so the student feels confident by the end of each session. Experience and background: I am a final-year Mechatronics Engineering student (5th year) at JKUAT in Kenya and a native Swahili speaker. I often help my younger siblings with their schoolwork, which has taught me patience and how to explain concepts in simple, encouraging ways. My background in engineering also gives me strong skills in STEM subjects, which I bring into my tutoring. Who my lessons are for? I teach children, teenagers, and adults at beginner, intermediate, and school levels. Whether you want your child to start learning Swahili, need help with school Maths and Physics, or simply want conversational practice, I can tailor lessons to meet your goals.
