About Leila
I was raised in Puuerto Rico, where I had to speak the language. I then became a Spanish teacher in the public school systems. I received a Spanish certificate from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County. I have had the fortune of teaching in the high school, middle school and the elementary. My students thanks to my help is to obtain B in the class. Another student achieve a 4 in AP Spanish exam

As a tutor , I have applied my same techniques to met tutees as I have used them in the classroom. When I work with students . I try to define the learning dimension of my students. I love to create steps that the student can apply to the topic . I like to use acronym to define when to use the verb to be in Spanish. I use images to work with vocabulary recognition. I also like using technology in both my tutoring sessions as well in my classroom. I also review the topics and the vocabulary previously covered in the tutoring sessions. The constant review helps my student/ tutee help in remembering topics and strategy used to teach it.
