About Cynthia

I’m a native Spanish speaker with a passion for languages, communication, and helping others learn with confidence. I have experience teaching Spanish to both children and adults in one-on-one and group settings, from complete beginners to students looking to improve their existing skills.

My background also includes many years of Spanish-English interpreting, including working alongside professionals from different countries and cultural backgrounds. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, explain ideas in different ways, and understand the challenges that come with learning another language.

As a teacher, I’m patient, approachable, and encouraging. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and practicing Spanish without pressure. My goal is not only to teach vocabulary and grammar, but to help students develop the confidence to actually use Spanish in everyday situations.

Whether you’re learning Spanish for school, travel, work, personal development, or simply because you love the language, I’ll adapt our lessons to your goals and help you progress at a pace that works for you.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized, practical, and adapted to each student’s age, level, and learning goals. As a native Spanish speaker with experience teaching both one-on-one and group classes, I focus on helping students build confidence and use Spanish naturally.

I use a balanced approach that combines conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, and listening. For beginners, I introduce concepts step by step and reinforce them through repetition, examples, and interactive practice rather than relying only on memorization.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of previously learned material, followed by a new topic or language concept. We then practice through guided exercises, conversation, pronunciation, and real-life examples, finishing with a recap to reinforce what was learned.

What sets me apart is my experience working with students of different ages and backgrounds, as well as my professional experience interpreting between Spanish and English. This allows me to explain concepts clearly while also teaching how Spanish is actually spoken and understood in real-life situations.

My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to students looking to strengthen their existing Spanish skills. Each lesson is adjusted to the student’s pace, learning style, and individual goals.
