About Olenka
I’m a second year student at Durham University and have been in the U.K. for just over four years. Despite that, I have a very good grasp of the English language. I completed both GCSEs and A-Levels here, in the U.K., so know well how the teaching and learning processes work.

My teaching method is identifying the weakest links in the student’s knowledge of the language, practice and repetition. I think one of the key things is exposure to the language in its naturally flowing way. This would involve listening to native speakers communicate, going through songs or videos, reading passages and trying to understand them. Of similar importance is also vocabulary, which I recommend learning from context, rather than simple translation.
