About Inês

Hi! My name is Inês, and I’m a university student currently living in Lisbon. I spent 9 years living in the United Arab Emirates, where I learned English from scratch, since Portuguese is my mother tongue. This experience taught me that the best way to learn a new language is to have confidence and not be afraid of making mistakes — advice that truly changed my life.

When I first moved abroad, I didn’t speak any English at all. By pushing myself to practice every day and embracing my mistakes, I quickly discovered the most effective and enjoyable ways to learn.

Because of this journey, I understand exactly how challenging (and exciting!) learning a new language can be. With over 5 years of tutoring experience, I love helping others build confidence and improve their skills in a supportive and friendly environment.

About the lesson

As someone who has gone through the process of learning a new language myself, I understand the challenges and the excitement that come with it. This experience has helped me discover which exercises and approaches truly work best.

Whether you’re just starting or already have some experience, I will design personalized classes focused on your level and goals. My lessons focus on building your confidence, encouraging you to speak from the very beginning, and helping you feel comfortable making mistakes — because that’s how real learning happens!

Together, we will work on speaking, listening, reading, and writing through fun and engaging activities that make learning enjoyable and effective.
