About Ali
I am a native Persian (Farsi) speaker from Iran, currently based in Quebec City, Canada. My background combines teaching, writing, journalism, cultural heritage, museums, and cultural tourism.
In Iran, I taught university courses related to architectural conservation, cultural heritage, and museology, and I also worked as a journalist and cultural writer. I have experience in cultural tourism and in designing activities related to history and heritage.
Today in Quebec, I am involved in cultural and museum projects and I host two radio programs at CHYZ 94.3, Université Laval’s campus radio: one introducing Iranian music to a wider audience, and another Persian-language cultural program about life and culture in Canada.
I am not a traditional language teacher. What I offer is something complementary: the opportunity to practice Persian with a native speaker who loves language, storytelling, history, and culture. I would be especially happy to work with learners who want to discover not only how Persian is spoken, but also the culture and stories behind the language.

My lessons focus on practical Persian (Farsi) conversation in a relaxed and friendly environment. As a native Persian speaker, writer, and cultural professional, I can help you become more comfortable speaking and understanding everyday Persian while also discovering Iranian culture, history, traditions, music, and daily life.
Each lesson can be adapted to your interests and level. We can practice everyday conversations, pronunciation, useful expressions, reading short texts, or discuss topics related to Iran and Persian culture. My goal is to make Persian practice enjoyable, natural, and connected to real-life situations.
Lessons are mainly based on Persian conversation and immersion. Basic support can be provided in French or English when needed.
These lessons are especially suitable for learners who already know some Persian and want to improve their conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence.
