About Tomoka
Hi! I’m Tomoka — a native Japanese speaker born and raised in Gunma, Japan. I moved to Canada and have experience teaching Japanese both in a classroom setting and virtually. I believe learning works best when it’s enjoyable and connected to what you love, so my lessons focus on natural conversation, real-life expressions, and fun topics that keep you motivated. Outside of teaching, I love cooking, baking, kickboxing, and watching Japanese dramas and variety shows. I’m also a big fan of J-pop and J-rock. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing not only the language, but also the culture, humor, and daily life of Japan. I’ll be traveling to Australia in the next few months, which inspires me even more to connect with learners around the world.
