About Sophie

Hi! I’m Sophie, a native Italian speaker born and raised in Italy. I completed my entire education in Italy up to secondary school, graduating with top marks in Italian language, literature, and Latin, before moving to the United Kingdom to study at the University of Bristol, where I later graduated.

Having lived and studied in both Italy and the United Kingdom, I have a deep understanding of both Italian language and culture, as well as the experience of learning and communicating across different languages.

I am passionate about Italian and genuinely enjoy sharing my language and culture with others. Whether you are learning Italian for school, university, travel, work, or simply because you love the language, I aim to make every lesson welcoming, engaging, and tailored to you.

My priority is to create a relaxed environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building your confidence in Italian from the very first lesson.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, engaging, and completely tailored to you. Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced learner, I adapt each lesson to your goals, interests, and learning style.
I combine conversation, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, and writing, with a strong focus on helping you actually use Italian and speak with confidence. Lessons can include conversation practice, personalised exercises, cultural topics, or exam preparation, depending on what you need. I can also provide homework and detailed corrections upon request.

I am a native Italian speaker, born and raised in Italy, where I completed my education up to secondary school and graduated with top marks in Italian language, literature, and Latin. I later graduated from the University of Bristol, giving me both a strong academic background and experience of learning and communicating across different languages and cultures.

I welcome students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced learners. I generally recommend one-hour lessons to allow enough time for meaningful practice and progress.

Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and speaking Italian from the very first lesson!
