About Miriam
I am a German native speaker and have been teaching German for about ten years alongside my profession as a journalist.
For the last few years, I've mainly had students online, but before COVID, I taught at a Swiss secondary school (German, English, Maths) and the InFront language school in Zurich, which offers classes for adults in groups of one to ten.

I believe that the key to a successful life in a modern, multilingual society is learning new languages. In my classes, I believe that it is important to have a balance between teaching grammar and speaking. In all my lessons I try to include lots of speaking exercises, where the grammar topics are applied.

Miriam has been the German language tutor for my husband and me since 2020. Her enthusiasm, love of teaching, and deep knowledge of all aspects of German has been invaluable to our learning process. Details
If I have to travel more than twenty minutes to get to the lessons, the hourly rate increases by £1 for every five minutes of added travel time. I won't travel more than three miles to get to a student.
