About Kiana

As a native speaker who immigrated, I took the AP German Exam in which I received a perfect score, and visited the country to ensure I would not lose my language proficiency. Furthermore, I have some teaching experience as a Varsity Speech and Debate member in my school's competitive team where I would make it my mission to teach younger novices, as well as leadership experience as the Varsity Tennis Team Captain. I graduated from high school this year, 2024, and am going on to be a biology student at the University of California Santa Barbara, in the pre-med track.

About the lesson

German is my first language, I grew up in Hannover, Germany, and moved to the United States in 2019. After 5 years of living in the US, I hope to help others learn this uncommon Language here. Since I grew up there myself, my lessons differ from those who studied German in America, I have more experience in all aspects such as reading, writing, and listening as I completed a large part of my general education there as well. Learning from a native perspective offers a more authentic experience and brings you closer to the Language and Culture which is exactly what I hope to do!
