About Alina

Hi, I’m Alina. I am originally from Germany and currently a second-year PhD student in Psychology at ARU Cambridge. I hold an MSc with distinction from Anglia Ruskin University and a BA in English and Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham. Alongside my academic work, I have several years of experience supporting students and helping them improve their understanding and performance in different subjects. Through this experience, I have developed a range of teaching approaches that allow me to adapt lessons to different learning styles and individual needs. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing their skills step by step.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and goals. Whether you want to improve your speaking, writing, grammar, or overall confidence in German, I adapt the lessons to focus on the areas you find most challenging. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable practising and asking questions. As a native German speaker from Germany, I can help students develop both their conversational skills and their understanding of grammar and written German. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and may include conversation practice, grammar explanations, vocabulary building, and guided exercises. My lessons are suitable for beginners as well as students who want to strengthen their existing German skills.
