About Alycia

I'm a native French speaker, and helping others learn French has been a passion of mine since middle school. I started tutoring newcomers who were learning French for the first time, and I loved the experience so much that I continued tutoring throughout CEGEP.

Over the years, I've come to appreciate that everyone learns differently. My goal has always been to make learning feel comfortable, encouraging, and accessible, whatever your starting point may be.

Today, as a mom supporting my own child in a bilingual learning environment, I continue to see how important patience, flexibility, and adapting to each learner's individual needs can be.

I'm fluent in both French and English, so I can explain concepts in either language and help you gradually build confidence in French without feeling overwhelmed.

Whether you're a complete beginner, a student who needs a little extra support, or an adult looking to improve your conversational French, I'll tailor our lessons to your goals and learning style.

I offer online and in-person lessons for children, teenagers, and adults. My approach is friendly, patient, and practical: a space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, practice, and celebrate your progress.

Learning a language takes time, but it doesn't have to feel intimidating. I'd love to help you on your French-learning journey!

Let's Get to Know Each Other!

I love making our first lesson a chance to get to know each other! We'll talk about your interests, goals, learning style, and what you'd love to be able to do in French. This helps me adapt my lessons to you rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

From there, we'll build a learning plan together, based on your goals and the things you genuinely enjoy. Because let's be real: learning is so much more enjoyable when you love what you're learning about!

Whether it's travel, movies, books, hobbies, everyday conversations, or something completely different, we'll use your interests to make French meaningful, practical, and fun.

Au plaisir de vous rencontrer!

What I can help you with:

- Building confidence in real-life conversations

Having tutoring experience, I understand that everyone learns differently. I adapt my lessons to your level, learning style, interests, and personal goals.

My approach is patient, flexible, and practical. I believe learning a language should be an enjoyable experience where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating your progress.

Whether you're a child learning French at school, a teenager preparing for exams, or an adult learning for work, travel, or personal growth, we'll work together to find the approach that suits you best.
