About Didaskalos
I am a native French speaker from France, and I have been teaching French on Superprof France for over 10 years. During that time, I have worked with hundreds of students — from young children to retirees, from complete beginners to advanced learners preparing for official certifications.
What makes me different is that I have also learned a second language (English) as an adult. I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to forget a word mid-sentence, to feel self-conscious about your accent, or to struggle with grammar rules that make no sense at first. This experience shapes every lesson I give. I am patient, encouraging, and I never make you feel silly for making mistakes — because mistakes are how we learn.
I am a true Didaskalos — I teach because I genuinely enjoy seeing others progress. Whether you dream of ordering coffee in Paris, passing the DELF, or simply discovering the beauty of the French language, I would be honored to guide you.

My teaching approach is based on the conviction that a language is learned by speaking it, not just studying it. I combine structured grammar with real conversation from day one.
My method and techniques
I adapt to your level and goals — whether you want to prepare for a trip, pass an exam, or hold fluent conversations. I use a mix of live dialogue, short written exercises, and cultural context (music, film, news) to keep lessons engaging. Since I have learned English as a second language myself, I understand the common struggles of French learners and can explain tricky concepts in clear terms.
A typical lesson plan
1. Warm-up conversation in French (5 min) — what happened since our last session
2. Review of previous material and Q&A (5–10 min)
3. New topic — grammar point, vocabulary theme, or cultural topic (15 min)
4. Speaking practice — guided conversation using the new material (15 min)
5. Quick writing or listening exercise (5–10 min)
6. Summary and a small task to practice before next time (5 min)
What sets me apart as a tutor
I am a native French speaker who has also gone through the process of learning a foreign language (English) from scratch. I know what works and what does not because I have lived it myself. On top of that, I bring 15 years of teaching experience from Superprof France, working with hundreds of students of all ages and levels. A true Didaskalos — teaching is my calling, not just a side gig.
