About Rachelle
I am a certified teacher in the State of New York with a graduate teaching qualification from Queens College and a bachelor's in anthropology from Université Laval. Born and raised in Quebec, I am a native French speaker fluent in English and Spanish. I have spent years teaching languages and art to children, adolescents, and adults across New York City institutions including the Penumbra Foundation, Studio in a School, museums, and university settings. Whether you are five or seventy-five, a complete beginner or preparing for an advanced exam, I bring patience, cultural depth, and real-world fluency to every lesson. We close with a quick game or cultural moment, a song lyric, a Quebec expression, a French idiom that makes you smile. You leave every session with something you can use immediately.
