About Victoria

My name is Victoria, I’ll turn 21 in April, I am originally from Nice (French Riviera) although I have studied for two years at Aix Marseille Université.

I am in the final year of my bachelors degree - which is a language degree in English and Russian.

I wish to be able to give some French lessons in order to earn some money for my studies, as it is a bit expensive to study in the UK even for a year only.

I am from a cross cultural family (my mother is Eastern European and my father is French), it helps me a lot to understand the difficulties you may encounter as someone learning a language.

About the lesson

Before anything I always ask what are the person’s aims and goals, which helps me to know what to work on and how.

I, personally, am an audio learner: having conversations in English is what has helped me the most, I also have to acknowledge that watching tv shows in English has been really effective as well (thank you Breaking Bad)

I believe that having conversations with a native speaker it what helps the most: you pick the right vocabulary with the right accent.
I have already taught French to two students at the University of Birmingham, which helped them a lot.

I can have basic conversations, as well as help with the improvement of academic works, or even focus on a specific aspect of the language (grammar, pronunciation, …)
