About Emma
Bonjour! I’m Emma, a native French speaker from Bordeaux, France, now living in Los Angeles.
I have lived and worked internationally for many years, so I understand firsthand what it feels like to communicate, work, and build confidence in another language. This experience has also taught me that learning a language is about much more than memorizing vocabulary. It is about understanding the culture, expressions, humor, and natural rhythm behind it.
I am fluent in both French and English, patient, approachable, and attentive to the way each person learns. I genuinely enjoy helping others feel comfortable speaking French and creating an environment where questions and mistakes are always welcome.
My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, motivated, and excited to keep learning.

My lessons are built around one simple goal: helping you speak French naturally and with confidence.
We begin by discussing your level, interests, and the situations in which you would actually like to use French. From there, I create conversations and practical exercises around your needs, whether you are preparing for a trip, learning for work, continuing your studies, or simply wanting to connect with French speakers.
During a typical lesson, we might discuss a topic you enjoy, practice a real-life situation, work with a short article or video, and review useful vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar as they come up naturally. I will correct you without constantly interrupting the conversation, so you can become more comfortable speaking while still understanding how to improve.
Lessons are open to complete beginners as well as intermediate and advanced learners. The atmosphere is relaxed, encouraging, and always adapted to your pace.
