About Melissa

Linguist, artist, mother of 3, I am passionate about education and sharing skills. Being self-employed as a tutor allows me to focus on my students and energise and empower them, be it in French, Sewing, Fashion design...! With over 10 years' experience in tutoring and the international fashion industry, I cannot wait to hear how I can help you achieve your goals.

About the lesson

I am delighted to offer lessons in person at my house, or online via Skype or Zoom. Lessons are typically an hour, and I find a conversation focus works really well, progressing with vocabulary and grammar en route! With over 10 years' experience you can be confident you are in good hands with Melissa.

Melissa has been my French teacher for about 8 years initially visiting me at home then via Skype. She is patient and friendly and immediately put me at ease in speaking French. At my request we focus on conversational French and my confidence and fluency has improved significantly. She is flexible and responsive and I've found the online lessons to be great for fitting around a busy work and family life. I have no hesitation in recommending her for all ages and all levels / aspirations of French language learning.
