About Maelo
I’m a native French speaker from London, currently studying Law and French Law at university. I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE French and a 6 in IB Higher Level French. Having grown up with a mother who is a French teacher and tutor, I’ve had a strong understanding of effective teaching from an early age.

I take a friendly, personalised approach to tutoring, adapting each lesson to the student's level, goals and areas for improvement. As a native French speaker, I focus on helping students build confidence while developing the key skills needed to succeed in GCSE French.
Lessons last 1 hour and can include a combination of speaking practice, grammar, vocabulary, listening and exam-style questions. I place particular emphasis on active participation and getting students to use French rather than simply memorising information.
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE French and a 6 in IB Higher Level French, and I am currently studying Law and French Law at university. My lessons are aimed at GCSE students who want to improve their French, prepare for exams or become more confident speaking the language.
