About Iris
I’m a native French speaker from France, currently studying at the Australian National University (ANU) as part of my Bachelor’s degree at Sciences Po Paris.
Alongside my studies, I have experience providing one-on-one tutoring and homework support to children and teenagers. I have also worked for three years as a qualified summer camp counselor in France and have been involved in educational programs supporting children from a variety of backgrounds. These experiences have taught me to be patient, encouraging and adaptable to each student’s personality and learning needs.
I hold a French youth leadership and childcare qualification (BAFA), First Aid certification and a current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration. I am also fully fluent in English (TOEFL iBT 113), which allows me to explain French concepts clearly to English-speaking learners.
Above all, I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes and speaking French without pressure. Whether you are learning French for school, travel, personal interest or simply want to practice conversation with a native speaker, I would be happy to help you progress at your own pace!

My lessons are friendly, interactive and adapted to each student’s level, goals and learning style. As a native French speaker, I aim to make French feel natural and enjoyable while building confidence in both speaking and writing.
Depending on your needs, lessons can include conversation practice, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing exercises, or help with schoolwork and assignments. I like to use real-life situations and topics that interest the student, rather than relying only on textbook exercises. For younger students, I can make lessons more engaging through games, creative activities and interactive exercises.
A typical lesson lasts around 1 hour, although I can adapt the length for younger children or individual needs.
I have experience providing one-on-one tutoring and homework support, as well as several years of experience working with children and teenagers in educational programs and summer camps. I am a native French speaker, currently studying at ANU on exchange from Sciences Po Paris, and I am fluent in English.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers and adults, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. Whether you need help with school French, want to improve your grammar and pronunciation, or simply want to become more confident speaking with a native French speaker, I will adapt the lessons to your goals.
