About Julia

I'm a translator. I have a degree in Linguistics and Languages (Portuguese and English) and have been teaching both languages since 2012.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to focus on conversation and from there approach grammar rules and vocabulary, based on topics that come up as the student speaks. I also like the classes to be fun and dynamic because I believe nobody learns if they're bored. The lessons can be held online or in person. I'm in Norwich from Saturday to Wednesday and in London Thursdays and Fridays.

I would fully recommend Julia to anyone wishing to learn or advance their fluency in Portuguese. With Julia's help I gained more confidence in speaking the language. Julia tailored the lessons to my level, using a mix of conversation, written exercises, short videos and texts to improve my all round proficiency in the language. Whilst learning the language we also discussed Brazilian culture and lifestyle. The lessons were interesting, fun and enjoyable.
