About Gionni
Olá! Meu nome é Gionni. Prazer em conhecê-los.
I am a multilingual teacher (Portuguese, English and French) who enjoys sharing my culture with people from other parts of the world.
I believe each spoken language is a living organism which exists within its ever-changing context, therefore cultural learning must walk hand in hand with mastering a new language.
Graduated in Brazilian visual arts, theater, and film, with five years of language teaching experience, I share my language with students through local arts and culture. I also write books, create art, organize for socio-environmental change in my country, and dream of a better, sustainable living for all.
Neurodivergent, 2SLGBTQIA+, trauma informed.

Welcome to a comfortable and judgement-free environment where you can immerse yourself in Brazil’s warm and poetic culture.
I am a Brazilian artist and author living in Toronto, with a passion for my country’s cultural arts, including the particular way Brazilians have, in the course of the country’s 500 years after colonization by the Portuguese, adapted their language to become its most rich and expressive iteration for the purpose of community building and cultural knowledge safekeeping.
If you are interested in learning a language beyond its grammar, my lessons might be a good fit for you. You can expect to read literature every Brazilian knows from their school curriculum, listen to iconic neighbourhood music old and new, watch the best of Brazilian tv and film, and learn slang that will help you get around like a native speaker.
