In our classes we will cover different areas of the game. From the most basic elements to the most sophisticated maneuvers in a chess game.

The main focus is to determine the proper recognition of patterns which are defined by interesting pawn structures and formations. We will strengthen the calculation of variations, better understand the plans that are presented in the openings, provide you with tools to better understand middlegame positions and of course we will study in depth the theory of endgames.

Each class will be extremely practical and my focus is that you will be able to reason properly and be able to elaborate a plan in any type of position.

In addition to the technical chess training we will focus on the physical aspect, that is, we will elaborate a methodology for you to train your body and get the best endurance possible.

  • When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

I started practicing chess when I was around 8 years old. My passion for this game found me through my parents. They used to teach me the basic rules and strategies. From that moment, I fell in love with the game and never stopped learning and improving.
  • Which artists or works affect you the most?

There are many chess players who inspire me, but one of my favorites is the legendary World Chess Champion Capablanca. His bold and creative approach on the board has always fascinated me. I also admire Anatoly Karpov's strategic style and Garry Kasparov's aggressiveness.
  • What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?

To succeed in chess, qualities like patience, concentration, resilience, and creativity are required. It's also essential to have a deep understanding of openings, middlegame, and endgame, as well as the ability to adapt to different playing styles and opponents. I also can say that we need to understand that it is really important to make mistakes, fall down, repeat and correct our failures. It is a very hard process as in any other sport.
  • What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

Stay focused on one thing, yes only one thing. Multitasking is not very efficient if you want to achieve something. In chess we can learn that calculating a single variation in an orderly way is better than calculating many things in no specific order. My advice is to keep focused on one goal and until it is ready don't change your plan, you can always make adjustments, but keep your eyes forward.
  • How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

My passion for chess is an endless source of excitement and challenge. Each game is like a unique work of art where I can express my creativity and strategy. It fills me with pride every time I find a brilliant move or solve a complex problem on the board.
  • What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

As for my achievements, I can say that the greatest satisfaction has been to be able to represent my country in different world events. I have been able to know different countries of the world thanks to chess, that makes me feel very proud. Chess has opened new gates in my life..
  • Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

Yes, I have been pleasantly surprised by several students throughout my career as a chess coach. Some of them have shown astonishing abilities to spot combinations and tactics on the board and have progressed rapidly to advanced levels of the game. It's inspiring to see the potential that can be unlocked with dedication and practice.
  • Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

The secret to being a Superprof in the world of chess is passion and patience. You must love the game and be willing to impart your knowledge with enthusiasm. Additionally, adapting to the individual needs of each student and providing constructive feedback are crucial for their growth in chess. The key is to make each lesson enjoyable and enriching.
