About Stephanie
Hi! My name is Stephanie, and I’m a Nanotechnology Engineering student with a strong background in math and science. I’ve always enjoyed breaking down complex concepts into clear, simple steps, and I bring that same approach to tutoring. I’ve worked with students from middle school through high school, helping them strengthen their foundations, improve their grades, and build the confidence they need to succeed. My engineering studies allow me to connect math to real-world applications, showing students why the concepts they’re learning matter. Whether your goal is to catch up, prepare for exams, or excel beyond the classroom, I’ll work with you step by step to get there.

I believe every student learns differently, so my first priority is understanding the student’s learning style and current level of confidence in math. I use a step-by-step approach that emphasizes building a strong foundation before moving into advanced concepts. Complex problems are broken down into smaller, manageable parts, and I encourage active problem-solving rather than passive memorization.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up / Review: Quick recap of previous material to reinforce retention.
Concept Introduction: Explanation of new topic using clear examples, diagrams, and analogies.
Guided Practice : Work through problems together, encouraging students to explain their reasoning.
Independent Practice : Student solves problems independently while I provide support if needed.
Wrap-Up & Next Steps: Summarize key takeaways, clarify doubts, and assign practice problems tailored to their weaknesses.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor

I adapt my teaching style to fit each student’s pace and needs whether they’re struggling to catch up or aiming to excel. I explain concepts in simple language and multiple ways until the student truly understands.

Stephanie helped me during my first year of university with calculus. She is very patient, understanding and knowledgeable. She doesn’t rush the teaching process and taught at a speed I could understand.
Over the past year, Stephanie and I have had the pleasure of working together as colleagues. We got to know each other via our love of learning, and I've seen directly how committed she is to her students.
Stephanie has a really comprehensive, patient, and engaging teaching style. Her ability to simplify difficult mathematical ideas into manageable chunks allows her students to study in an engaging and accessible way. Her dedication to promoting the success of others is incredibly inspiring.
One of my favourite memories of working with Stephanie was the substantial grade improvement she was able to achieve for a struggling student. With her individualised instruction and unceasing support, the student not only became more self-assured in their mathematical skills but also showed a sincere interest in the subject.Stephanie has my highest recommendation for the Superprof community. She is a superb tutor who truly cares about her students' success and will go above and above to make sure they meet their objectives.
I was struggling with linear algebra, especially matrix transformations. Stephanie was super patient and used visual aids that made the concepts much clearer. It wasn't just about getting through the material; she made sure I actually understood it. I’m really grateful for her help.
