About Joey
My name is Joey Bohler and I am 24 years old. I always enjoyed getting my hands dirty in my art classes in K-12 and in college. My favorite disciplines are sculpture and ceramics as you work with various mediums together or sculpt by hand, which is a very therapeutic process. I have taken several graphic design and web design courses throughout my education, as well as drawing, painting and writing courses. I incorporate conceptual art, abstract art, and color symbology together as I feel these elements lead to a more developed piece rather than in solidarity. I enjoy learning about psychology, cultures, and art history; and bring those influences into my work.

I have worked with many different modes such as: substitute teacher, camp counselor, reading tutor and head preschool teacher. I am passionate about everything relating to the Humanities regarding Art, English, Social Studies, etc.. I stand out as I have lots of different contexts of working with people of all ages. I make it a point to show students why the subject is important in the real world. I will pull the subject and bring their interests into problems and situations to make the topics more engaging. I will make games from scratch to help the student's needs. Gamifying the tutoring experience makes tutoring for students a fun thing to do rather perceiving it as a chore. I hope to work with or your student soon!
