About Jaryn
Hello, My name Is Jaryn but you can call me TeacherJaryn. I am from South Africa, I have a higher certificate in early childhood development and a 120-hour Tefl certificate. I am currently study my degree in teaching. I am a Passionate and effective ESL Teacher with experience helping students to improve their English language
vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing. Adapt in all aspects of activities in the four areas of
language learning: Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening. Bringing forth my year of experience,
combined with a passion for serving as an effective educator and helping students to achieve proficiency
in the English Language

My Teaching Philosophy
A skilful educator builds good relationships with her students based on mutual respect and trust, and
sets the tone for classroom community.
When I think of my role as a teacher, the one thing that I constantly have focused on is the relationship
that I have built with my students. I enjoy having conversations with them on subjects and issues that
are important to them, and learn how they are feeling and experiencing the world and the material they
studying in class. I want my own classroom to be less of a class and more of a community, where we all
share and communicate and learn from one another at the same time.
This is one of my reasons why I focused on teaching middle and high school students. The maturity level
of these students gives them the ability to clearly articulate their own thoughts and feelings.
I have a very firm belief that young people have the ability to make great changes in the world if they
are given the right information and tools, and I want to help my Portuguese, Chinese and Spanish
students reach their goals in life by giving them the tools to better communicate with their own citizens
of their country and world.
