About Janet

I provide music education to students with varying backgrounds and skill levels, offering a comprehensive approach that combines theory and practical guidance.

For beginners, I offer foundational lessons, and for advanced players, I focus on improvisation techniques to elevate their musicianship across different instruments. I also specialize in preparing students for music certification exams such as ABRSM, Trinity College of Music, and MUSON graded exams. My lessons include both music theory and practical instruction.

In music theory, I cover the rudiments of music, sight-reading, and transcription. In practical lessons, I teach students how to play a variety of instruments, including saxophone, violin, viola, recorder, and keyboard. I hold a degree in Music from the University of Uyo.

I teach music part-time in schools and offer private lessons for both children and adults. As a musician, I am proficient in playing the violin, viola, cello, recorder, Harmonica, keyboard, saxophone, and guitar. My teaching aims to nurture both the practical and theoretical aspects of music, ensuring a well-rounded education for all my students.

Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and
London College of Music (LCM)
graded exams.

In my music theory classes, I cover essential topics such as the rudiments of music, sight-reading, and transcription. The practical lessons focus on teaching students to play a variety of instruments, including the saxophone, violin, viola, recorder, and keyboard.

As a graduate of Music from the University of Uyo, I have been teaching both part-time in schools and privately since 2018. I work with students of all ages, from children to adults, helping them develop both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills. I am proficient in playing the violin, keyboard, saxophone, and guitar, and I am passionate about guiding students through every aspect of music education.
