About Aiden

I am a 24 year old musician living in Vancouver. I have been making my own music for the past 6 years and have been playing instruments my entire life.

My musical background includes playing for my school's Jazz and Concert Bands from grades 6-12, and my instrument background includes Guitar, Piano, Trumpet, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and Tenor Saxophone.

I haven't done any tutoring personally, but I've always been a great teacher. For me, that means that I know how to adapt to my students, and I know what it means to bring out the most from each individual.

I'm a kind, caring individual with an absolute love for music. I know deep down that I can help bring out your voice and can push your music to the next level. I look forward to hearing from you!

About the lesson

For me, music is a very personal experience. Every class would be tailored towards the student. We always get so caught up in playing everybody else's music that we forget about our own. I really want to bring the artist out in you, and I want to show you how music is within you. All you have to do is set it free.

For beginners, we would go over chord structures and how to implement them into songs. We would learn the basic and fun songs that YOU are looking to learn! I will never choose which (unless you ask me to). After all, the lesson is about you, not me. This stage would also include building up speed, practicing to metronomes, and all around technical accuracy. We would get you to a level where you're comfortable with advancing on the instrument.

For intermediates, I would start to incorporate more songwriting into what you do. How chords work with each other, tension and release, dissonance, all of these things that make music so fun. We would learn more about barre chords and how songwriting works.

For experts, instead of a guitar teacher, I'll become an art teacher. I will teach you how to let your personality shine through your music. I will guide you in the direction of your own personal voice, and show you how music is so much more than just what we hear. At this point, you don't need my technical help. But what I can offer you is a lot more than that.

I look forward to working with people of all levels!
