About Sàvio

Hi! I’m Sávio, a classically trained singer, countertenor, and vocal coach with a deep love for musical theatre and opera. With a degree in music and years of stage experience—from Baroque operas to contemporary premieres—I’ve learned what it takes to build a voice that’s both powerful and effortless. I specialize in legit singing, the vocal tradition behind roles like Glinda in Wicked, Christine in Phantom, and the timeless characters of Julie Andrews and Disney princesses. My goal is to help singers develop a strong, free, and expressive voice, whether they’re diving into classical musical theatre or bringing a trained, polished sound to other Broadway styles. Lessons with me are practical, personalized, and technique-driven, but always in a way that makes sense for your voice. If you’re ready to explore new possibilities and sing with confidence, let’s get started!

About the lesson

Ever dreamed of singing like Glinda in Wicked, Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, or the iconic characters played by Julie Andrews? That’s the magic of legit singing—a style rooted in classical technique but made for the stage. And that’s exactly what I help singers develop in my lessons.

With a background in opera, a degree in music, and international experience as a countertenor, I know firsthand what it takes to sing with ease, power, and expression. I use everything I’ve learned from my classical training to help singers unlock that soaring, crystal-clear legit sound—or even bring the same discipline and technique into other Broadway styles.

Whether you want to nail those floating high notes, build a more effortless mix, or develop the vocal stamina for demanding roles, I tailor each lesson to your voice and goals. No stiff, one-size-fits-all approach—just real, practical guidance to help you sing with confidence and freedom.

If you’re ready to find your true voice and make it shine on stage, let’s get started!

Before taking lessons with Savio, I always felt like my voice had a ‘ceiling’... like no matter what I did, I just couldn’t get past a certain point. High notes? Forget it. Breath control? A mystery. But after just a few lessons, things started clicking in a way they never did before. He explains technique in a way that actually makes sense. It’s not just ‘support more’ or ‘open your throat’ (which, let’s be real, never helped me). He gives real, practical things to try, and suddenly, stuff that felt impossible starts working. I also love that he never makes you feel dumb for struggling with something. He’s super patient and knows exactly how to get you to that ‘aha!’ moment... Now, I’m hitting notes I used to avoid, my voice feels way more stable... If you’re on the fence about taking lessons, just do it. Seriously.
