About Sam
Why do I teach Music, Physics, and Maths? Simple: I never forgot how hard it was to learn them. The confusion, the practice marathons, the moments where nothing made sense—it’s all still real to me. That’s why my tutoring focuses on patience, breaking down walls, and celebrating the 'aha!' moments (big or small). If you’re feeling stuck, I get it. Let’s find your path through.

Physics master's graduate from University of Bristol, lifelong musician and music teacher, specialising in guitar and organic methods of learning music theory to get students playing what they hear in their heads, while forming an understanding of why they are hearing those notes in the first place - I love it. For maths and physics tuition, the advent of exams usually drives me to be more goal-oriented! On day one we will discuss your ambitions and plan our route to where you want to be in however much time we have to get you there. We will talk broadly about the subject and identify any problem areas early on. Together we will build methods to allow you to solve these problems by yourself with confidence.
