About Catarina
My name is Catarina, I'm 34 years old and I have been a musician my whole life. I have completed the Conservatory in Trumpet, Classical music.
Recently I have decided to dive into the world of the studio and Music Production, and this is what I have been doing in the last years.
I have completed Grade 8 Music Production with Rockschool, giving me a strong foundation in music production, recording, mixing, and mastering and I have one year of working experience.
I have been mixing and creating my own songs in this last year and it has been so rewarding, I believe that I finally found my niche!

Music Production, Recording & Mixing Lessons:
I offer practical, hands-on music production lessons designed to help you learn how to create, record, mix, and master your own songs from start to finish. Whether you are completely new to music production or already have some experience, the lessons are adapted to your goals, interests and genre.
My Techniques & Teaching Methodology:
My teaching approach is practical, creative, and focused on learning by doing. Rather than only explaining theory, I guide you through the process of actually creating music and developing your own projects.
Depending on your goals, lessons can cover:
Music production: song structure, melodies, chords, rhythm, arrangement, sound selection, MIDI, and working with samples.
️ Recording: setting up microphones, recording vocals and instruments, gain staging, recording techniques, and getting the best recording.
️ Mixing: EQ, compression, reverb, delay, panning, volume balancing, automation, effects, and creating a clear and professional-sounding mix.
Mastering: preparing a final mix, loudness, dynamics, EQ, limiting, and getting your song ready for streaming or release.
DAW skills: learning how to confidently use your chosen music production software and understanding the tools available to you.
I have experience mainly with REAPER.
I can also help with music theory if needed.
Typical Lesson Length
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can also be arranged depending on the student's needs and the project we are working on.
A typical lesson may include a short explanation of a technique, practical work inside the DAW, and time to apply the technique to your own song.
Who are my lessons for?
My lessons are open to everyone, with a focus on beginners and intermediate producers.
You don't need to have previous production experience or advanced music theory knowledge.
Whether you are:
A complete beginner who wants to learn how to make music.
An aspiring producer who wants to improve their skills.
A singer, songwriter, or musician who wants to produce their own songs.
I adapt the lessons to each student's experience, musical interests, and goals. The most important thing is that you are interested in making music and want to learn.
