About Rory
I studied music composition at Masters level at the University of Surrey and have experience in delivering music theory lessons. Alongside my postgraduate course, I delivered music theory lessons at grade 4 level to a student in my local area. I have a strong subject knowledge in music and would love to enhance others musical understanding through private tutoring.

I give lessons to students taking their ABRSM exams in music theory up to grade 5 and those wanting to study music theory for fun! The structure of my lessons is based on the ABRSM syllabus. I cover each section of the ABRSM Music Theory in Practice books sequentially and demonstrate how to answer example questions from each section. After checking for my students understanding, I give the students a chance to answer similar questions in order to prepare them for their ABRSM exam. I like to facilitate my students learning through practical demonstration and positive reinforcement so they reach their full potential! A student may not get it right the first time, but that is okay!; we'll work through incorrect answers together.
