About Emily
I am a 25 year old musician living in South East London. I have been working in music for the last four years across different disciplines, whether that be teaching, freelance composing, session singing, and performing. I believe that learning how to play an instrument teaches us more about ourselves, therefore I use a holistic approach and take in all aspects of the person when teaching. Being able to express yourself is fundamental and I am thrilled to be in a position where I can help others explore their abilities.

Cultivating good techniques and a wide understanding of your instrument is vital to ensure a healthy sustainable practice. My goals as a teacher are to help you understand how to connect and communicate with your instrument, build confidence, and explore musical interests with friendly guidance. I can offer you the following: - Practising for ABRSM and Trinity grades - A practice plan catered specifically to your practice - An ongoing conversation about your goals and any areas that you would like to focus on - Teaching correct technique to ensure healthy practice - Building confidence - Repertoire work - Breath work to ensure that your voice is properly supported - Dictation exercises - Stretches, posture work and exercises to free your voice and ensure no tension is being held in the body - Emotional exploration of any songs that you would like to work on - Microphone technique - Building confidence in a safe space Lessons are usually 30 minutes but I can teach for longer upon request. Please ensure that you read the details section of my advert before booking a lesson with me!

Emily is a fantastic teacher! When I started lessons with her I lacked a lot of confidence with my singing abilities, but she has helped me find my voice and achieve all my goals. I’ve gained confidence and expanded my vocal knowledge, I’d highly recommend her!

Details
I teach 30 minutes for £25, 45 minutes for £32, or 1 hour for £40. I offer the first half an hour for free as a trial lesson.
