About Tudor

I graduated Popular Music - with a focus on pop, r&b and rock singing, live performance and songwriting. I performed live in several pop and alternative groups, and as a solo act. I learnt from many amazing and varied vocal coaches, later becoming self-taught. I started to give vocal tips to friends and band mates who wanted to improve their vocal technique. Seeing their satisfaction and visible improvement, I started taking up regular students.

About the lesson

I am a singer and songwriter, experienced in the technical and creative aspects of singing performance and songwriting. I teach students who are just starting on their music path, as well as those who want to further develop their skills.

A vocal coaching lesson consists of 3 parts:
1. Warm up exercises: focusing on the 3 main areas of the vocal apparatus – BREATH (diaphragmatic breathing, managing stamina), THROAT (vocal registers, air compression, timbre, vowels), MOUTH (vocal projection, consonants)
2. Song interpretation: chosen based to match your favourite genre and level of vocal technique
3. Notes of the day: feedback, homework

Special sessions:
– First lesson (free): Meet & greet, about your aims and aspirations as a singer, short interpretation of a chosen song, creating a personalised roadmap and a list of song covers;
– Listening session: we listen and discuss a selection of relevant songs and live performances, analysing technique, timbre, attitude, artistic persona
– Vocal health session: discuss vocal health, good routines, home remedies, tips & tricks
– Recording & production sessions: tips for recording gear, production, sound engineering
– Songwriting sessions: we write a song together or discuss 1-2 songs you bring in

I use visualisation, video references and mood playlists to create the right energy and mindset for singing. After all, good technique comes from feeling comfortable and having fun singing. That is my goal in each lesson!
